Peace of Mind

Meditation

is a way of calming and training our mind. It is easy to do, and something everyone can learn. Meditation can help reduce stress, and other negative states of mind. If our mind is pure and peaceful we can be happy, regardless of our external conditions.

Liberating Prayer – Refuge Retreat

‘The Liberating Prayer is not an ordinary prayer – It is like a text and has profound meaning. All Lamrim teachings – renunciation, bodhichitta, and correct view of emptiness are included in this prayer. I can say very few people understand the Liberating Prayer. It definitely needs verbal commentary by a Teacher. If we understand and contemplate its meaning – it is the best method to develop faith in Buddha and his teachings, which is our spiritual life and the root of all Dharma realizations.’
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

The Liberating Prayer is recited before every teaching, meditation and puja in our tradition and for Kadampas, this practice is extremely precious. It was composed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for modern people to make a close connection with Buddha Shakyamuni.

In this weekend retreat we will be guided to meditate on the meaning of each verse and gradually come to know from our own experience the deep inner peace and protection that comes from our faith and receiving Buddha’s blessings.

Suitable for all levels of practitioner. Everyone welcome

Developing Authentic Self Confidence

We can sometimes equate our self worth or happiness on our social status, popularity, good looks, resources, job title and so on. However these things are fickle, temporary and false, making them unreliable and deceptive. We all want to be happy in ourselves, so we need to identify ourself correctly, in order to build real self confidence, self worth and happiness.

Following Buddha’s wisdom, when we connect up to our mind’s natural inner peace and positive qualities we can correctly identify ourself, establish real self confidence and esteem. These peaceful, positive minds are our natural purity and good heart and if we grow them we will experience a deep happiness and freedom and finally realise the pure potential of our enlightened mind.

In this half day course we will learn meditations and practical wisdom to improve and become a more happier, peaceful and compassionate self.
